Score: Coffee table 1, My Toe 0

It was to be a great fight: Coffee Table vs My Toe. But in the end, the fight was over before it really even started. One punch from the Coffee Table and My Toe was down for the count. Spiral fracture in the posterior something-or-other. No idea what the doctor said. Either I tuned her out, or I was in too much pain to remember clearly. Not sure. What I do remember though, is the sinking feeling I had after she told me there is "nothing we can do about it". That's right. I broke a bone in my body and the doctor says there is nothing she can do. So much for modern-day medicine. You'd think they could go in with a laser or something and fuse the crack back together...that'd be cool. But no. "Buddy tape it to the toe next to it and endure the pain for the next four weeks," was her expert suggestion. Thanks, doc.
