Backpacking
How do I summarize such an amazing weekend? We got up to the cutoff around 1130 and unloaded our packs. I will be the first to admit that the hike up was one of the most mentally and physically challeging things I have ever done before in my life! It was horrible...but the people on that mountain with me were so encouraging and so patient--just what I needed! We took it slow and stopped whenever anyone needed to rest....

Wow, that does sound like a truly amazing weekend. Glad you had so much fun and I would love to see more pictures some time.

And yes...I was really hot with that pack on. ;-) That's the kind of 'hot' you were talking about, right???
Ah, the weather was so nice! About 70-75 during the days, and 40ish at night...a welcome change from the 100s+ here in the valley!
Geez - that backpack is almost the same size as you! Is carrying it like an ant carrying something weighing more than itself?
I know!! It is about my size, isn't it?
It was filled with clothes and food and a sleeping bag and a bear canister...necessities! I guess in that respect, it's just like an ant who carries necessities (no matter their size!) on it's back. :-)
