breaking up is hard to do

Well, that's it. It's over. The longest relationship I've had in my life, and it ended tonight.

That's right, I sold my little silver Camry tonight. hehe.

You thought I was talking about boyfriend?! Heck no! :-)

August 25, 1995 - December 11, 2006 So many years! It was a tough decision, but it was time. So many memories went along with that little car. All those college road trips, the AGOers who painted all over my windows and mirrors (to this day, there is still green paint on the passenger side mirror...haha), the Crusade and ADX events when people piled in the front and back seat and trusted me with their lives, the trips to the lake, the coast...I put 150,000 miles on that car. It was a good little car. And now it has a new home, so someone else can make their own memories with it. :-)

If you have a little Camry memory you'd like to post, feel free to leave it in a comment!

how cute?

My boyfriend had a firefighting class yesterday, so he didn't have to work last night and called to see if he could drive up and see me. We went to Sal's for dinner...and then decided to go hang out at Wal Mart for a little while. We do that sometimes...just go look around and see what they have. We rarely buy anything. But what else is there to do in S-town?? lol So anyway, when I suggested WM, here was the short conversation that followed:

he smiled and said "Yeah, I was thinking about looking at their fishing stuff."

i laughed and said "Of course you were...when are you NOT thinking about fishing stuff?"

he smiled and said "When I'm thinking about you."

Awww...how cute is that?? lol. :-)

176...87...19...10...3

176...the number of students who helped to produce this large stack of papers that I will be grading this weekend. lol. Well, Sunday afternoon anyway.

87...the number of dollars spent to replace two motor mounts on my old car, thanks to the internet searching skills of my boyfriend. The shop quoted me about $700 to replace all five mounts including the cost of labor! Yikes! Oh plus, my boyfriend loves to take things apart, figure out what's wrong with them, and put them back together (that's kinda what he does for the Navy), and he has offered to do the work for me this Friday night in exchange for a home-cooked meal. Yes, one of MY homecooked meals. lol. After he fixes those two mounts, I'm going to try to sell the car...and just let people know what work still needs to be done. There's already an ad in the paper for this weekend! :-) So exciting!

19...the number of days left before Christmas! So much shopping and planning left to do. But I can't wait!

10...the number of days left until I leave for Oregon to "meet the parents". Should be a great trip! Rain and snow, shopping, and lots of time with the boyfriend and his family. (I'm really kinda-nervous about this...your prayers would be appreciated!)

3...can you believe I've been dating this amazing guy for three months?? Well, three months and four days...or three months and five days, depending on which one of us you ask. lol. That's a story for another time though... I hope he gets to meet you all soon!
