countdown to vacation

Well it's official. I'm the big 3-0 now. It's not so bad. Except that my myspace says I'm 30. I have to do a double-take every time I read that...and a few times I found myself cringing...but I think I'm okay now. The shock has worn off. :-)

I'm 25 1/2 hours away from vacation. I'm so excited.

While I have no "big" traveling plans yet, there are a few options that I'm kinda tossing around. I do know that I'm going to the bay area on Friday, just for the day. It's been pretty hot around here lately and I am SO ready to escape from this heat. I may take a quick trip to Chicago to see my friend Abe. I miss my buddy! Or drive down to Anaheim for a few days to see the Red Sox play the Angels (very likely!). Or I may just take the "free" route, head to the coast and stay at my grandparents place for a few days...it's beautiful (and COOLER!) this time of year.

On a side note: I still think I should have been born in some northern state, far far away from the equator, like Minnesota. Some place that gets super-cold in the winter and never gets warmer than 80 in the summers. Think such a place exists? :-)
