Some pictures I wanted to share...

This is what my cake should be similar to. We decided to not have a cake-topper. Instead, we're keeping with the winter theme and coordinating with the pine cones in the centerpieces. Imagine this cake, but white with navy blue ribbon around the base of each layer, and pine cone accents. Cute, I think. :-) Did I mention the cake is chocolate with tiramasu, and almond with apricot--yum!

And now, some updates that we have been able to accomplish so far...in addition to these, Mark and I have replaced the kitchen faucet and overhead light (with the help of my friend Amanda's husband!), and the dining room light. We're slowly turning the house into our home. :-)

Second, the living room after MOST of the boxes have been unpacked.

Yesterday while we were in town for my dad's internment, Mark and I stopped by Osh and picked up new blinds for the living room to replace the ugly brown things that were hanging on the wall. The new ones look MUCH better!

And Saturday night, or maybe it was Friday night?, Mark and I painted the downstairs bathroom. Chocolate Froth is the color. Sounds yummy, doesn't it? :-) Doesn't look too bad either! I told Mark we need to choose paint for the rest of the rooms based on how yummy the name sounds. lol. Think that would work?

First, for those of you who can't make it to my wedding (IN FIVE DAYS!!!), here are a few pics of what some things might look like. :-)
This is ideally what my centerpieces will look like. Very wintery. :-)

Now, the new house! Mark and I got the keys the Friday before Thanksgiving, and we moved most everything in the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Here's what it looked like a few days after move-in:

The view towards the kitchen and dining room...me unpacking boxes.

First, a counter! It has been covered with boxes for so long that I had forgotten about it. :-) And our new fridge too. (We didn't have one...)
