Yeah okay, so it's been a few weeks since I blogged last. Does that mean nothing exciting is going on in the world of the Conrads? Certainly not. Just been keeping busy!
It all started with this...I wanted to replant my pothos, a plant that I've had for years. It just needed (as you can see) some new soil and a little love and care. So...Mark bought some potting soil and I took care of it.

Next thing I know we're putting rocks down on the side of the house, cutting down trees in the front yard, putting bark in to cover the ugly dirt, planting flowers and bulbs, and the list goes on. lol. Here are some landscaping befores and afters. Let me just be honest and tell you that Mark has done pretty much all of it. I chose the bark...I chose the flowers...okay, I trimmed the bushes in the front and made them pretty. Oh! And I OPENED the bags of bark for him... But everything else was all Mark--he's very motivated and excited about being able to work on the yard. My black thumb and I don't stand in his way, and of course I help in what little ways I can.
This is the yard before...or rather, during, the landscaping process. You can see that Mark is already busy playing in the dirt, and I've trimmed one of our buckets of ivy in the front yard so it doesn't look so overgrown. :-)

Mark playing in the dirt some more. Notice that nice little tree? I didn't like it there...so Mark asked if I wanted him to pull it out. Sure! He did. And then surprised me by replanting it in the back yard a little while later. (Update: Mark got home yesterday to find the tree in the back yard missing a few branches--thanks to those kids of ours, Duke and Daisy)

Here's the same front yard...without the tree, and with the bark! I love it. :-) A totally different "feel" to the entry now.

Here's the gardener...with his finished product. He is so proud of the work he did--and with good reason! I'm so thankful for him!

We planted a few more bulbs here, lillies, and I trimmed the tree and the bushes, and the ivy in the bucket. :-) I thnk we're going to end up barking this area too. I hope!

The entry yard with one of my mom's yard signs. It says "All things grow with Love". Mark and I are hoping the flowers we planted there will spring up in a few months!

Okay, some more fun pictures from the past few weeks. Here is my adorable husband and our "kids". :-) Daisy and Duke...they are about 9 months old and learning so quickly! Mark taught Duke to "shake" and "high-five" in about a thirty minute session last week. So amazing! Daisy is another story...we tell her to sit, and she does that well. Then she thinks she's done, so she lays down. lol. So lazy, that girl! :-)

Speaking of Daisy...here she is deciding whether or not she likes ice cubes. Chloe (my mom's adopted dog, formerly my dog) loves to eat ice cubes, so I thought maybe Duke and Daisy would too. Not so much...but check out her giant paw! We're hoping she doesn't grow into those. lol.

Mark and I went to the Fresno State baseball game with my mom, Jen, and grandma last Friday night. What a good game! Fresno won 3-2 BARELY...it was one of those edge of your seat games. And for Mark's first game, it was perfect. We plan to go back a few more times this season.

Ah, my silly husband...

No one has any doubt as to where my seat is in that stadium. :-)

And lastly...Kristin is in town right now for a wedding and Ashley coordinated a surprise birthday dinner for her last night. She thought it was just going to be me, Ash, and Carrie--but surprise! Leanna and Mandy were able to make it as well. :-) So fun...and yummy mexican food! MMmmmm. Here's a lovely pic of Kristin and I. :-)
