Buon giorno!

Yes, it's that time of year. I'm so excited! For the last six months I've been looking forward to this day, and for the last two months I've been planning for it. The tour for the Italian students is ready to go, and finally today they are arriving. God is good in how He has provided for this experience. There are 18 students and 2 teachers who will be staying in our little town, and up until yesterday I still had one student who didn't have a host family! Normally this would cause me to stress just a bit--but God had already provided a place for the second teacher this past Friday (which I thought to be very late timing...but in all reality it was perfect, no doubt), and I was certain He would bring to me another great family for this final student. Sure enough!
The next two weeks are going to be crazy for me...we have taken in one of the teachers and it is my responsibility to make sure she has a good time in California! Stefania will spend two weeks in our home as our guest and see what it's like to live and work in America. She will come with me to the high school each day and spend some time in our classes. As I found out last April, school here in the states is very different from that in Italy...I couldn't begin to describe it, so I'm certain they will be surprised and excited about all of the new things they see. I have also scheduled a few short trips for the group, to Columbia, Hearst Castle, Kings Canyon National Park, and Fresno State. For all my hard work I will be able to attend the trips to Hearst Castle and Fresno State...yay!
Off to the airport...
