update

I thought it about time to update you all...I will keep this brief, maybe bullet it so it's easier to read and so that I don't get carried away with typing. You know how much I love to write!!

So here goes:

  • school is going well. i'm a little overwhelmed because i don't have a prep period...but that will change after Christmas Break.
  • my grandfather is just out of the hospital and into a rehab center. he fell and broke his humurous...humerous...humorous...well, however you spell the bone in your upper arm. i haven't seen him since they moved him to the rehab facility...but i plan to get into town on Wednesday to do that.
  • i just bought a new car. the other, the one i've had since August of 1995, has 197k miles on it, and needs some work. i could probably have driven it for another month or so, but i figured i might as well not run it into the ground completely...it would be nice to be able to get some money for it!
  • my boy friend thinks he could buy it from me, fix it up, and use it as a little car to get around town in. i'm okay with that! but he really doesn't have the time to work on it. it would be more of a project car...and with his schedule it might take months to fix.
  • oh, yes...i have a boy friend now. :-) we've been dating since September 1st...
  • i also have a momma cat and her five little kittens on my back porch. the weekend that the boy friend and i went to Yosemite, she crawled into a wood box back there and gave birth. ah! what a surprise when i came home. they are I think about three or four weeks old now...and awfully cute. she was a scrawny little thing, a stray i'm sure, and since i didn't want the kittens to die on my back porch, i started to feed her. but i'm not really sure that she's taking good care of her kittens. feeding them, yes, but a couple of them have an eye sealed shut and i was under the impression that the momma was supposed to take care of that? i could take them to the vet and have him/her clean them up...but gosh, that's a lot of money. maybe my 'married to a vet' friend could answer that question for me!
  • i'm taking a couple of my coworkers out to lunch today. well, i'm not buying, but i'm driving. :-) they wanted to see the new car and today is the first day i will have it with me. i just picked it up on Friday and already i have over 200 miles on it. yikes! oh well, i'm just 'breaking it in', I guess you could say. hehe.

Well, have a wonderful week...and I will talk with you soon.

***I tried to post some pictures of my new car and of me and the boy...but it's not letting me! I don't know why... :-( I'll try back soon.
