Finished! I turned in my grades, cleaned up my classroom, and checked-out with the front office! I'm officially finished with my 6th year of teaching. :-) Now I have a week off...then five weeks of summer school. The fun never ends with me...hehe. But I don't mind...it's what I love to do!
This afternoon I checked my teacher's mailbox in the front office and found this. Unsigned. No idea who it was from. But it had my name on it so I knew it was meant for me. I just wished that I knew who to thank. I spent the afternoon and evening racking my brain trying to figure out who it could be... When I got home tonight I had an email from one of the Italy parents. The gift was from their family. So nice. So unexpected. So generous. So undeserved! But appreciated, of course. It was the perfect way to end a long and somewhat exhausting school year. :-)
Tonight was graduation at SHS. It was a beautiful night, perfect weather for an outdoor graduation ceremony. Teachers are assigned different roles for the ceremony and this year I was fortunate enough to be a graduate supervisor. This simply meant that I sat on the edge of one row of graduates and made sure they didn't get out of hand, blow up any beach balls (or other inappropriate inflateable objects), or disrupt the ceremony in any other manner. Amanda and I leave for Mexico first thing Sunday morning and will be gone for a week. Of course I haven't finished packing yet! :-) But that's okay...I have tomorrow still. hehe. I'm so excited for the vacation, and looking forward to spending a week relaxing and NOT thinking about school!
